The Palo Alto Knights Cadets earned a trip to they AYF National Championship tournament with a consolation round victory over Oakland last weekend. They will be traveling to Florida with two other groups from the Knights.
Six Palo Alto Knights Midgets were selected to play on the 8th Grade AYF All-Star National Championship team, representing the NorCal Conference, Pacific Region. Gunnar Felt, JP Flather, Andrew Frick, Brian Kannappan, Marcus Moreno-Ramos, & Christopher Proceviat join fellow NorCal players from Sacramento, Oakland, San Jose, and San Benito to face All Star teams from all over the country.
The Palo Alto Knights Jr. Pee Wees earned an at large bid to the 6th Grade All American Division tournament in Orlando as well.
More information, and brackets can be found at http://americanyouthfootball.com/champs. All of the players and teams are actively fund raising to help with the costs. If you’d like to help sponsor a team, please contact Mike Rider, PA Knights treasurer and board member via the email link on the contacts page.
Congratulations to all Knights traveling to Florida representing Palo Alto, Northern California, & the NorCal Conference, Mountain West Region of AYF.

Best Ever
As a football fan, it’s important to understand some of the history of the game, and those that came before.
We highlighted some of the games biggest hitters. Now, one of the best, if not best, running backs of all time, Jim Brown. Pure Power Running. Enjoy.
Go Knights!
PAK Cadets Still in the Hunt for Florida
The PAK Jr Pee Wees were knocked out of the play offs, and their quest for Florida last weekend, losing 8-20 to Oak Grove South.
The PAK Cadets also lost to Oak Grove South, 0-25, but since the NorCal Conference is sending 3 Cadet teams to Florida, the Knights have one more shot as they play Oakland in the consolation final for third place, and a trip to the National Championships in Orlando, Florida.

An exciting first weekend of play off football.
The Tiny Mites finished the season in 2nd place by advancing to the Tiny Mite Tournament Final with two victories. They lost in the final to Oak Grove, but what a fantastic finish for the little guys.
The Cadets opened their playoff run with a TD in the final four seconds of regulation, then kicked the Xtra point with no time on the clock to beat Oak Grove 8-6 and advance to the semi finals.
The Jr Pee Wees earned a bye, and an automatic berth in the semi finals next week.
The Pee Wees were eliminated by Oakland, and the Midgets were knocked out by Grant.

Football Fans
If you love the game of football, you should attend every Knights game.
And if you love football, you probably want more. We are surrounded with great football at every level. I’ve put home games for the following teams on our calendar so you can take your Knight to see the game played at the next level. It’s easy to get tickets to all of these teams. Last year, My Knight and I saw Paly on Friday night, Stanford on Saturday, Knights game Sunday Morning, then to the Niners @ Candlestick. What a perfect weekend of football. And all 4 teams won!
High School
Palo Alto Vikings – Coach Hansen’s teams are always among the best, and feature a ton of former Knights, and big brothers of current Knights.
Gunn Titans – New Coach, new winning attitude, more Knights Alums.
College
Stanford Cardinal – Playing for the undisputed Top of the Pac 10 this weekend against Washington.
California Golden Bears – Have their best shot at the Rose Bowl in years, and Best is one of the Best.
San Jose State Spartans – Get up close and personal, small venue, wide open style of play.
Professional
San Francisco 49ers – After years of mediocrity, Mike Singletary is the real deal, and they’ve got it going on in Santa Clara and the Stick.
Oakland Raiders – Some of the best athletes in football, learning how to be a winning football team, and crazy crazy fans. Don’t wear Red/White, Blue/Yellow, Blue/Orange, Green/White, Red/Blue, or Blue/White. Stick with Silver and Black if you head to Oakland for a game.
We’ll be playing in Oakland this weekend, against the Oakland Dynamites. They’re Yellow and Purple. Wear PA Knights Black, Yellow, and Red!
Go Knights!!
